Terrorist against attack on Pakistan forces from Afghanistan, says Pakistan Army

ISLAMABAD - Terrorists affiliated with TTP again attacked on Pakistani forces in the border area of the northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province last night , Pakistan military said on Sunday.

 

“On night 30/31 December, terrorists from inside Afghanistan, opened fire on a Pakistani Border Post in general area Spinwam, North Waziristan District. Own troops responded in a befitting manner causing considerable losses to the terrorists. However, during the exchange of fire, Naik Abdul Rauf (age: 31 years, resident of: District Rahim Yar Khan), having fought gallantly, embraced Shahadat,” said ISPR in a statement.

 

“Pakistan has consistently been asking Interim Afghan Government to ensure effective border management on their side of the border. Interim Afghan Government is expected to fulfill its obligations and deny the use of Afghan soil by terrorists for perpetuating acts of terrorism against Pakistan,” it said.

 

In another incident on Sunday, Pakistan Army killed three terrorists in Bajaur district when they were trying to infiltrate Pakistan- Afghanistan border.

 

According to ISPR, Weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the killed terrorists,” said ISPR in a statement.

 

Meanwhile, the military also killed at least five terrorists in Balochistan province during an intelligence-based operation in general area Mashkai, Awaran District, on reported presence of terrorists.

 

“During conduct of the operation, after intense fire exchange between own troops and the terrorists, 'Five Terrorists' were  sent to hell. Terrorists’ hideout was also busted and a cache of arms, ammunition and explosives was recovered,” it said.

 

Sanitization operation is also being carried out to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area.

Security Forces of Pakistan, in step with the Nation, remain determined to thwart attempts of sabotaging peace, stability and progress of Balochistan.
