Australia announces to send its 44 member athletes team for Beijing Olympics 2022 despite political row with China

CANBERRA (TSAT) - Australia on Monday has finalised its 44 member athletes team for Beijing Olympics 2022 despite its political and diplomatic tension with China.
The country’s Olympic committee said for the first time they selected 23 women out of 44, more than 50% who will compete across 10 disciplines.
“Women make up 52.3% of the Team, topping the Sochi 2014 figure of 51.7% as the highest female representation in Australian Winter Olympic history,” said the committee in a statement.
Beijing Olympics 2022 is scheduled to be started on Feb. 4, the opening ceremony will be attended Russian, Pakistani and several other countries top leaders including the UN Secretary General.
