Trapped Afghan child in well pulls out after 3 days but lost his live

KABUL (TSAT) - A seven year old Afghan child who was trapped in a narrow well in the country southern Zabul province has pulled out but lost his breath.

 

Afghan Taliban key leader Anas Haqqani, who along with acting Defense Minister Mullah Yaqoob arrived in the area on Thursday to monitor the rescue operation, said “Haider is no more with us.”

 

Anas, who is younger brother of the country’s acting Interior Minister Sirajuddin Haqqani, said they tried their best but couldn’t safely rescue the child.

 

“The government did whatever it could to save the child, but unfortunately he couldn’t be saved,” Tolo News quoted Anas Haqqani as saying. 

 

Haider, a seven year old child fell in the narrow well near his house in in Jaldak village in Qalat city on Tuesday, was trapped there for three days.

 

The local residents and authorities tried to rescue him as dug a tunnel with heavy machinery, but the child couldn’t rescued.

 

“When we arrived here yesterday, we talked with the teams who came from the Ministry of Public Health. The governor was also here, we talked about how to immediately rescue the child,” said Yaqoob.
