Pakistan Maritime security agency rescue 13 stranded fishermen at Arabian sea

ISLAMABAD (TSAT) - The Pakistan Maritime security agency has rescued 13 fishermen who were stranded in the Arabian Sea, the agency said on Wednesday.

 

A fishing boat was stranded at near Churna Island due to engine defect and lost its propulsion, according to the agency statement.

 

“Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre (MRCC) at HQ PMSA from Nakhuda [and] PMSA immediately tasked PMSA Ship RAFAQAT to conduct Search and Rescue operation,” its said.

 

The PMSA's ship immediately proceeded to the vessel in distress and reached at the position of the stranded boat alongwith requisite towing arrangements, lifesaving and first-aid equipment.

 

“PMSA ship rescued the vessel in distress alongwith 13 crew members and save their precious lives at sea,” the agency said and adding they brought all the crew to Karachi and provided them all basic facilities
