‘My son always wished to be martyred for country’, says father of a brave Pakistani soldier

By The South Asia Times

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan is the only country in the world to fight a war against terror successfully and has defeated dozens of militant organizations in the region.

Over 80,000 civilians, soldiers, and innocent people sacrificed their lives to protect Pakistan and wipe out terrorists from their land.

Muhammad Bilal Shaheed of FC Balochistan, was among those brave Pakistani soldiers who sacrificed their lives for their country while fighting against foreign-funded terrorists in southwestern Balochistan province.

“My son had always been very eager to join the army since childhood, My son always wished to be martyred for the country,” hist father told Hilal Digital.

The sacrifices made for the defense of the motherland stand as a testament to the enduring legacy of the Pakistan Armed Forces.

Bilal embraced martyrdom on April 29, 2024, during a fierce battle against terrorists in Duki, Balochistan, exemplifying the ultimate sacrifice for his beloved homeland.

Sepoy Bilal leaves behind grieving parents and siblings.

Pride and sorrow intertwined as his father stated, “I am known as the father of the martyr, which makes my head rise in pride.”

The tribute continued with his mother recalling, “My son was very virtuous and had excellent morals,” while also stating, “I am very proud that my son attained martyrdom while fighting against terrorists.”

Bilal's brother recounted a touching moment two days before his martyrdom and said he called him and told that he was going on an operation, “asking me to pray for him.”

He added, “My brother was very brave since childhood,” and emphasized the pride in his brother’s sacrifice, saying, “We miss our brother a lot, but we are proud that he gave such a great sacrifice for the country.”

Bilal’s sister shared a glimpse of their bond, stating, “My brother always took care of us and valued every family member.” She poignantly noted, “It is written in the Holy Quran that martyrs are always alive, never call them dead,” and expressed her ongoing connection to him: “I still feel like my brother is with us.”

Today, the family finds solace in knowing that they sleep peacefully because of the brave soldiers like Bilal, stationed at the borders to protect the nation. His sister concluded with a heartfelt plea to the people: “I urge my people to support their soldiers and never speak ill of them.”

As long as the brave sons of this sacred land exist, no harm can come to Pakistan. The martyrdom of Sepoy Muhammad Bilal Shaheed stands as a guiding light for future generations, illuminating the path of valor and sacrifice.
