Pakistan, Türkiye Discuss Bilateral Ties, Regional Issues; Condemn Israeli Aggression in Gaza

By The South Asia Times

ISLAMABAD – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a late-night telephone conversation with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan, reviewing bilateral cooperation and exchanging views on key regional and international developments, the Foreign Office said on Sunday

According to the statement, both leaders expressed grave concern over the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Dar strongly condemned Israel’s plan for a complete military takeover of the Palestinian territory, terming it a blatant violation of international law and United Nations Security Council resolutions.

The Pakistani foreign minister underscored the urgent need for unimpeded humanitarian assistance to the besieged enclave and called for an end to what he described as “Israeli impunity.”

Dar and Fidan also reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening Pakistan–Türkiye relations across various sectors, while maintaining close coordination on pressing global and regional challenges.

The conversation comes amid growing international calls for an immediate ceasefire and humanitarian access in Gaza, where months of conflict have claimed thousands of civilian lives and left critical infrastructure in ruins.
