EXCLUSIVE : India intelligence agency worried recent case file against country civil, military leadership in UK over war crimes in Kashmir

NEW DELHI (TSAT) - The Indian premier intelligence agency RAW has worried the recent case filed by a UK based law firm against its country’s civil and military leaders over war crimes and human rights violations they committed in Kashmir.

A detailed report published and submitted to Indian government filed through DisInfo Lab, a so-called disinfolab, apparently running by the country’s intelligence agency,  has accused Turkey, Pakistan and Qatar for uniting the Muslims and raising collective voice for Kashmiri, Palestinian and Rohingya Muslims.

The report, copy is available with The South Asia Times, also accused some US, European Union official organisations and leading international media outlets for supporting those organisations who are raising voice for Muslims.

Last week, a UK based law firm Stoke White filed an application with London police and requested to carried out investigation against the Indian civili and military officials who are involved in human rights violations and war crimes in Kashmir, has put the Indian government in worries.

In over 40 pages investigation, the UK law firm provided many evidences that show that Indian forces committed war crimes and human rights violations in the disputed territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

The report also criticised the US leading international news agency Associated Press (AP) and Qatar based International broadcaster Al-Jazera for covering the Stoke White report and also covering the news from Kashmir.

Its also portrayed the Jammat-e-Islami, which is a largest religious-political party in Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and Kashmir, is supporting the Muslims who are fighting against the Indian occupation in Kashmir and want to hit the Indian economy through #BoycottIndia trend on social media.

During 2020 after COVID-19 outbreak in the country, the Indian media and Hindu extremist groups targeted the Muslim and blamed them for spreading coronavirus in the country.

The move spread hatred against Muslim community and dozen Muslim lost their lives in different violent incidents committed by Hindu extremis groups in the country.

“The Boycott Divestment Sanction Movement (BDS) was one such campaign invented by the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) to run the business of the conflict industry. It stands for boycotting the products from the target country, dis-invest from financial institutions, and calling for sanctions by the developed world as well as the US,” its said.

The Indian organisation tried to negate the ongoing human rights violations, genocide calls of Muslims from Hindu extremist groups, however, they didn’t mentioned any action the Indian government has taken against those who are behind these acts.

On Jan. 15, the US broadcaster CNN reported that Hindu extremist called on their supporters to kill Muslims and “protect” the country.

"If 100 of us become soldiers and are prepared to kill 2 million (Muslims), then we will win ... protect India, and make it a Hindu nation," CNN quoted Pooja Shakun Pandey, a senior member of the right-wing Hindu Mahasabha political party as saying.

In February 2020, at least 53 people majority of Muslims were killed by Hindu extremists during riots.

Since 2014, following Modi’s came to power the anti-Muslim hatred and actions further deepened across the country.

On Jan. 13, the Human Rights Watch in its latest report said that Indian authorities intensified their crackdown on activists, journalists, and other critics of the government using politically motivated prosecutions in 2021.

In its annual report, HRW said that government under Hindu nationalist BJP leading by Prime Minister Narendra Modi clamping down on dissent and torturing them through draconian counterterrorism law, tax raids, foreign funding regulations, and charges of financial irregularities.

“Attacks against religious minorities were carried out with impunity under the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led Hindu nationalist government. BJP supporters engaged in mob attacks or threatened violence, while several states adopted laws and policies to target minority communities, particularly Christians, Muslims, Dalits, and Adivasis,” said HRW.

“The Indian authorities have given up any appearance of tolerating dissent and are using the machinery of the state to silence critics,” said Meenakshi Ganguly, South Asia director at Human Rights Watch. “At the same time, the BJP government has created an atmosphere in which minorities feel unsafe, at risk of assault by ruling party supporters.”

However, the Indian intelligence sponsored organisation has not mentioned the incidents that occurred against minorities and anti-Muslim laws which had passed by the Modi government during last few years.

“Once the Islamophobia and Fascism narrative is established it is time to introduce genocide,” its said in the report.

They were referring the recent warning from Gregory Stanton, the founder and director of Genocide Watch, who during a US congressional briefing said that there were early “signs and processes” of genocide in the Indian state of Assam and Indian-administered Kashmir.

The Indian disinfolab also criticised and tried to malign all those organisations in its report who are speaking against the ongoing human rights violations, war crimes in Kashmir and genocide calls against Muslim in India.

The report showed that Indian authorities have worried the recent case filed in the UK and Tribunal to investigate the war crimes committed by the Indian forces as several US and EU parliamentarian were also came forward and they spoke against the anti-minorities actions in India.

“The news agency Associated Press published a story, with a fabricated and spun headline, though sensational. The AP declared that “UK Police has been asked to investigate Indian Army Chief” India accused the US leading news agency in the report.

They also accused the UK and US based Kashmiri leaders who are speaking against the Indian atrocities and used abused language in the report against them, even calling them ISI agents.

“AJ’s descend - from a fresh voice to rival the Western ‘global media’ to a shill propaganda outlet has been rather swift. Al Jazeera’s role as an enabler of the anti-India ‘boycott’ campaign in October 2021 was explicit,” the Indian intelligence sponsored report criticised the leading international broadcaster for its balance and reality based reporting.

The list of AJ fake news about Israel and the Middle East is even longer,” its said and accused the Qatar government for using it for  “political activities”.

“Despite the apparent bonhomie of Israel with the US and the public narrative to the same effect, it was surprising to find that several state-backed US organizations have been providing donations to the NGOs who are active participants of BDSM. Whether it is a conscious policy to keep both sides engaged or bureaucratic amnesia is hard to tell,” Indian intelligence sponsored report also accused its ally Washington.

They also accused several other international media outlets like TRT World, Rassd News, Arabi21 News, Watan Serb, and Al-Araby TV News for covering the Hindu extremists actions against Muslim and other minorities in India.

Earlier in November 2020, a 15-year-long campaign of the Indian government to denigrate Pakistan and Kashmir at international forums was dig out by a leading independent Europe-based disinformation watchdog.

The EU DisinfoLab exposed a disinformation campaign that targeted the European Union and UN with over 750 fake local media outlets and more than 10 sham non-governmental organizations to defame Pakistan at world forums.

- Human rights violations in Kashmir
