Pakistan Army Kills Seven Alleged Indian-Sponsored Terrorists in Balochistan Operations

By The South Asia Times

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan’s military announced on Tuesday that seven terrorists allegedly linked to an Indian-backed proxy group were killed in two separate intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in Balochistan, as part of ongoing counterterrorism efforts in the restive province.

According to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the terrorists belonged to a group identified as Fitna al Hindustan, which the Pakistani military accuses of being an Indian proxy operating within its borders.

The first operation was conducted in the Mach area of Kachhi District, where five militants were killed following an intense exchange of fire. “Own troops effectively engaged the Fitna al Hindustan terrorists’ location, and after an intense fire exchange, five Indian-sponsored terrorists were sent to hell,” the ISPR said.

In a separate operation in the Margand area of Kalat District, security forces reportedly raided a hideout of the same group, killing two more militants.

The ISPR added that weapons, ammunition, and explosives were recovered from both locations. The slain militants were said to have been involved in multiple acts of terrorism across Balochistan, although specific incidents were not detailed.

“These operations are part of Pakistan’s broader resolve to eliminate the menace of Indian-sponsored terrorism from the country,” the statement read, reaffirming the security forces' commitment to bringing “the perpetrators and their facilitators to justice.”

While Pakistan has long accused India of sponsoring terrorism inside its territory, particularly in Balochistan.

The operations come amid renewed regional tensions and growing concerns over cross-border destabilization efforts. Balochistan, Pakistan’s largest but least populated province, has been the site of a low-level insurgency for decades and remains a focal point of counterterrorism operations by Pakistani forces.
