NEW DELHI (TSAT) - The US authorities revealed on Saturday that some Indian national living in the US and Canada are operating a human trafficking gang.

The revelation came after four Indian national found dead near the US, Canada border who were the gang illegally trying to transfer to the US.

According to the NDTV, a main Indian broadcaster, the US authorities found seven illegal immigrants suspected some of them to be Indian near the Canada border who were transferring the gang without any legal documents from Canada.

On Jan. 19, the Canadian authorities found four dead bodies including a man, woman, a teenage boy and an infant in Manitoba province at border with the US, who lost lives due to cold weather while the gang trafficking them to the US.

“Shocked by the report that 4 Indian nationals, including an infant have lost their lives at the Canada-US border. Have asked our Ambassadors in the US and Canada to urgently respond to the situation,” Indian Foreign Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar tweeted.

Many Indian national who getting the Canadian visa, after arrival in that country later using illegal ways to enter the US.

The Canadian official also arrested two more Indian who were injured because of coldness and shifted them to the hospital, according to media report.

Meanwhile, the US Border Patrol in a statement said that they arrested an undocumented individual convicted of murder.

“Agents assigned to the Calexico station encountered two undocumented individuals who illegally entered between the ports of entry. The individuals were placed under arrest and transported to El Centro Sector Processing Center to be further medically evaluated and processed,” said in the statement.
