“800 people have been booked in Kanpur just because they protested against the most offensive words spoken against Rasool Allah, our Prophet by Narendra Modi’s spokespersons,” a prominent Indian journalist Arfa Khanum Sherwani tweeted on Monday.

“Suspending spokespersons will only be a face-saver if the cases aren’t withdrawn against the protesters,” she added.

On Weekend, thousand of Muslims hold protests in Kanpur and other parts of the country against the BJP party leaders who used abusive language against the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Later police and RSS/BJP extremist attacked on peaceful Muslim protesters and pelted stones at them.

The police also registered FIR against Shams Tabrez, a local journalist who reported the event.

Indian Muslim leader Asaduddin Owaisi strongly condemned the FIR against the journalist and said Uttar Pradesh Police should first take action against the Hindutva goons who pelted stones in Kanpur.

“There was no FIR against the policemen who were watching the spectacle in silence and were behaving in a ruthless manner. Why is this unilateral action taking place? An attempt is being made to silence the journalists by registering an FIR,” Owaisi wrote on Twitter and posted a video in which Hindu goons pelting stones at Muslims in presence of Police.

On Sunday after a strong reaction from the Muslim world, Indian government attempted to Cool down the anger spread among the Muslims across the world and said BJP suspended both leaders.

However, In a video, BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma, who made derogatory remarks against Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), said that Indian Home Minister Amit Shah called her and assured her full support.

“I am thankful to the government and home minister Amit Shah, who called me and assured full protection [against Muslims],” she said.

The video statement of Sharma shows that the Indian government tried to deceive the Muslim countries through its false assurance to take action against Sharma and Naveen Kumar Jindal.
