Clashes erupts in India Rajasthan state after BJP's supporter blasphemous post on social media

By The South Asia Times report

NEW DELHI: Communal violence and clashes erupted in the Indian Rajasthan state after an RSS/BJP extremist insulted Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and supported Nupur Sharma's blasphemous remark.

Soon after the Hindu extremist posted a post on social media in support of Sharma, some unknown people attacked and killed him on the spot, local media said.

Following the incident, RSS/BJP goons carried out attacks against Muslims in Western India's Udaipur while Muslims also came out from home and lodged protests against another attempt of BJP supporters to insult the Holy Prophet.

The state government deployed hundreds of police in the city and imposed a curfew to control the situation.

Internet and mobile service are also suspended in the city and surrounding areas, according to local media reports.

Situation in India is tensed since BJP Spokersons Nupur Sharma and Naveen Jindal, who insulted to Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) last month as Muslims are demanding to arrest and hang them, however, PM Modi's government refused to take action against BJP spokespersons.

Despite several Muslim countries’ strong demands and condemnation, so far Modi government didn’t condemn Sharma and Jindal's blasphemous acts and neither arrested them.

Modi’s government also launched an anti-Muslim operation across the country and demolished hundreds of houses of those Muslims who took part in peaceful protests against Sharma and Jindal.
