Pakistan's former PM announces to hold a long march toward capital Islamabad later this month

By Shahabullah Khan

PESHAWAR: Pakistan's former Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday announced that he will hold a long march toward the capital Islamabad by the end of this month.

Addressing a massive gathering at Kohat, a district in southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Khan said nation will not accept the “imported” government.

“I will announce the long march date after May 20 and it will be held in this month,” Khan told his supporter.

He thanked the supreme court of Pakistan for its today verdict against the defecting lawmakers who joined hands with former opposition to topple his government last month.

He said the current rulers will put the country in American slavery and the result of such slavery will be no different from many such instances in the past like Pakistan’s participation in the US war on terror.

The Southern districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province were once the stronghold of Maulana Fazlurehman party, JUI, however, the Tuesday massive gathering in Kohat shows that JUI would face a tough time in the upcoming election as Khan's narrative against the US attractive masses.
