US trade deficit for goods rises 2% to $91.5B in January
- Goods exports stood at $173.8B, imports at $265.3B, according to official figures

ISTANBUL (AA) – The US’ trade deficit for goods rose 2% to $91.5 billion in January, according to official data released on Tuesday.
The trade deficit, which is the difference between imported and exported goods, saw an increase of $1.8 billion from $89.7 billion in December, the Commerce Department’s Census Bureau said in a report.
The figure for December was revised down from $90.3 billion.
Exports in January stood at $173.8 billion, a gain of $7 billion from December.
Imports of goods swelled by $8.8 billion to $265.3 billion, the agency said.
