Pakistan prime minister says will not accept ‘imported government’, calls for a nationwide protest against US

By Imran Nasir

ISLAMABAD (TSAT) - Pakistan's Prime Minister on Friday said he will not accept the US imposed ‘imported government” and called for nationwide protest on Sunday.

Addressing to his nation, Khan accused Washington of hatching a conspiracy to oust him and said the no-trust motion against him was planned outside.

“The US embassy in Islamabad was planning for last two-three months and its diplomates were meeting with politicians and media people to topple my government,” the Pakistani premier said.

“My minister told me that the US embassy in Islamabad called several MPs and told them that no-confidence motion is coming against Imran Khan,” he claimed.

Briefing the nation over a threatening letter he received from his embassy in Washington, Khan said the US official told the Pakistani ambassador why Imran Khan visited Russia.

“Our ambassador explained to him but the US official told him that no-confidence motion is coming if it's succeeded against Imran Khan, we will forgive Pakistan otherwise Pakistan will face consequences,” Khan told his nation.

He urged his nation to stand against the US for its interference in the internal affairs of Pakistan and come out on Sunday evening across the country for peaceful protest.

“This is an attack on our country's sovereignty and you [nation] should stand against this conspiracy and if you do not stand next time no leader will stand for you,” Khan said.

He added that he will not accept the new government and called it an “imported government”.

“I will come out with nation and we will not accept the new imported government to install in our country,” premier khan said.

On Sunday, the new Prime Minister is expected to resume office if the opposition's no-confidence motion succeded against Khan on Saturday.

- Disappointed by the supreme court

Pakistani Prime Minister called the country’s top court verdict “disappointed” and said he had not expected such a ruling from the Supreme Court.

“I expected that the supreme court will uphold the principle of justice but they even didn’t discuss the foreign conspiracy and not seen the letter which was the based of deputy speaker ruling,” he said and added he accepted the verdict because he has repct for the judiciary”

On Thursday, the Supreme Court of Pakistan set aside the Deputy Speaker's ruling to dismiss a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Khan and also overruled the dissolution of the National Assembly by the president on the premier's advice.

The court also provide protection to the no-confidence motion against Khan and ordered the speaker of parliament to hold the National Assembly session on Saturday for a vote of no-trust against Imran Khan.

But the former cricket star-turned-politician warned that the opposition bought the loyalties of MPs and he will never accept the new government.

Earlier, the President of Pakistan sought to advise from the country’s top court to stop the horse-trading and not allow the ruling party's dissident MPs for voting, but despite the passing of weeks, the Supreme Court didn’t give any decision on the reference.

Khan on Friday also raised that issue and said the case is still pending in the supreme court.

He called the current political crisis created by foreign forces but the nation will defeat them.

“The US knows that Imran Khan can not become our puppet therefore they want to topple my government and bring a person who follows their directions,” he claimed and said the Pakistani nation will not compromise on their country’s sovereignty.

“The US has my profile and they know that Imran Khan will never compromise on their nation and will not accept any outside orders,” Khan said and adding the US is responsible for the killing of hundreds of innocent Pakistanis in drone attacks and he raised voice against that brutality.

He also criticized the country's former rulers to became part of the US war in Afghanistan just because to receive dollars from Washington and allowed them to kill Pakistani people.

“ I don’t against anyone, want good relations with all countries but can not sacrifice my nation for other interests,”

He said the opposition parties will reverse and ‘buldoze’ his elections reforms to fraud in upcoming general elections and we will not allow them to do it.
