ISLAMABAD (TSAT) - Pakistan Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will embark on his two-day visit to the United States on Tuesday at the invitation of US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

This is the first visit of any high official of the new government in Pakistan to the US after former Prime Minister Imran Khan was ousted from power last month.

Khan accused the US of hatching a conspiracy against him and toppling his elected government through a conspiracy.

The US denied the accusations.

According to the Foreign Ministry of Pakistan, Bilawal Zardari will attend the Ministerial meeting on “Global Food Security Call to Action” to be held at the United Nations on May 18.

He will also participate in the Open Debate of the UN Security Council on “Maintenance of International Peace and Security – Conflict and Food Security” under the U.S. Presidency of the Council on 19 May.

During his stay in New York, Zardari will also hold a bilateral meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

Imran Khan has already launched a public campaign inside his country and targeting the US for regime change in Pakistan.

On Sunday evening, while addressing a massive crowd in Faisalabad, Khan said Pakistani are a brave nation and will never become the slave of the US.

Khan is expected to announce his long march on May 20, toward the capital of Islamabad to pressure the new government to announce immediate elections in the country.
