ISLAMABAD (TSAT) - A Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar on Sunday hasdied in Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital on Sunday. She was 92.
She was taken to the hospital and admitted in intensive care unit on January 8 after testing positive for COVID-19
Mangeshkar born in 1929, was the eldest of five siblings, among them singer Asha Bhonsle who visited Mangeshkar in hospital after she was taken to ICU, according to NDTV.
Lata Mangeshkar has sung not only in Hindi films but also in Marathi, Tamil, Urdu, Bengali, Kannada (South Indian language), Punjabi and English languages as well.
After the death of her father, she started her career In 1942, when she was only 13-year-old, in music, juggling singing with acting parts in Marathi films
Lata Mangeshkar, also received several awards including the Bharat Ratna, Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Dadasaheb Phalke Awards, as she was an icon of Indian cinema.
