Indian euphoria of conducting a failed surgical strike was further falsified during the Balakot episode. 40 CPRF personnel were killed in a targeted operation at Pulwama on Feb 14, 2019. The attack was deliberately blamed on Pakistan without any proper investigation. Furthermore, WhatsApp chats between CEO of Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) & anchorperson Arnab Goswami disclosed Indian maligned intentions to blame Pakistan.

Indian establishment hiding behind a false claim of Pakistan sponsored terrorists attacking their CPRF personnel launched an air raid on Feb 26, 2019. The expedition ended without any serious damage but it was a clear violation of Pakistan’s territorial sovereignty.
Pakistan Air force the next day proved its unparalleled dominance against India. PAF gave a befitting response by downing two fighter jets of India and targeting multiple military sites in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
One of the two jets downed crashed in Pakistan held Kashmir and its pilot who ejected was captured by the Pakistan Army officers. The same pilot who was the reason of national disgrace was awarded the third highest gallantry award by Indian on a fictitious citation. An act that is not only an insult to the individual but also to the award itself.

Giving a gallantry award to Wing Commander Abhinandan who was shot down by the Pakistani Air Force and ejected in the Pakistani territory, was a moment of shame for soldiers across the world. If such an officer with imaginary feats can get a gallantry award it shows the level of professionalism Indian Army has and the criteria of bravery for Indian establishment.
