Pakistan successfully test-fires indigenously developed 'Fatah-4' cruise missile

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Army Rocket Force Command successfully conducted a training fire of the indigenously developed Fatah-4, a Ground Launched Cruise Missile, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Thursday.

 

According to the military’s media wing, the weapon system is equipped with advanced avionics and state-of-the-art navigational aids, enabling it to engage long-range targets with high precision. The training fire was aimed at enhancing the operational efficiency of the troops and validating the technical parameters of various sub-systems incorporated for improved accuracy and enhanced survivability.

 

The test was witnessed by senior officers from the Army Rocket Force Command, along with scientists and engineers from the developing agency.

 

The successful launch was widely commended by the President, Prime Minister of Pakistan, Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) & Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CDF), Chief of the Naval Staff, and Chief of the Air Staff.

 

In separate messages, the country’s civilian and military leadership praised the technical prowess, dedication, and commitment of all those who contributed to the successful training fire of the F-series missile.

 

The development marks a significant milestone in Pakistan’s efforts to bolster its defensive capabilities through indigenous innovation, particularly in the realm of long-range precision strike weapons.
