Over 560 children killed in Yemen recruited by Iranian back Houthi rebels, UN says

YEMEN (TSAT) - The United Nations latest report revealed that the Iranian backed Houthi militants recruited children in its force and at least 562 were killed during 2021.

According to the report, the children who killed during Saudi-led coalitions forces airstrikes and attacks were between the aged of 10 and 17, Turkish state-run Anadolu Agency reported.

In 2020, over 1,400 children were killed during the fighting.

“In one camp, children as young as 7 years of age were taught to clean weapons and evade rockets,” the agency quoted the report that submitted to the UN Security Council on Saturday.

The UN criticised the parties involved in the ongoing war in Yemen and said they are killing innocent people and children.

The country is under war since 2014, when Saudi Arabia along with allies launched in operation against the rebel Houthis.
