US, Turkiye, Saudi Arabia, Qatar Condemn Deadly Terror Attacks in Pakistan’s Balochistan

By The South Asia Times

ISLAMABAD - The US, Turkiye, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar have condemned coordinated terrorist attacks in Pakistan’s southwestern province of Balochistan that martyred at least 15 security personnel and 18 civilians on Saturday.

Pakistani forces said they killed 133 militants in operations across 12 locations, including Quetta, Noshki, Dalbandin, Pasni, and Gwadar.

The attacks, claimed by the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) terrorist group, targeted both civilians and security installations, sparking day-long clashes.

Pakistani authorities said that some attacks were coordinated from abroad, including India and Afghanistan.

In a statement, the US Embassy in Islamabad called the BLA a U.S.-designated Foreign Terrorist Organization and extended “deepest sympathies and condolences to the victims of terrorism, their families, and all those affected.

” The embassy said the United States remains a “steadfast partner of Pakistan in its efforts to ensure peace and stability.”

Turkiye’s Foreign Ministry condemned the attacks and expressed condolences to the families of the slain soldiers. “We will continue to stand in solidarity with Pakistan in its fight against terrorism,” the ministry said.

The Saudi Foreign Ministry reaffirmed its “firm rejection of all terrorist and extremist acts” and extended condolences to the families of the deceased, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.

Qatar’s Foreign Ministry also condemned the attacks, reiterating its opposition to violence and terrorism in all forms. It expressed condolences to the victims’ families and to the government and people of Pakistan.

Balochistan has long been a flashpoint for militant activity targeting civilians and security forces. Pakistani officials said the attacks were coordinated and aimed at destabilizing the province, which is rich in natural resources and home to major port and infrastructure projects.

Pakistani security forces said operations would continue against remaining militants to prevent further attacks.
