Pakistan armed forces express solidarity with Kashmiri people

By Imran Nasir

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan armed forces on Friday expressed solidarity with Kashmiri people and said they stand behind the brave people of Kashmir.

In a statement, on the occasion of three years since New Delhi stripped Indian-administered Kashmir of its special status, the country armed forces observed the day as “Youm-e-Istehsal,” or “Day of Exploitation,” to reiterate its condemnation of the move that resulted in the annexation of the disputed valley.

“Pakistan Armed Forces stand with brave & resilient people of IIOJK in their struggle for right to self determination as per UN resolutions. 1095 days of worst ever  siege and brutal atrocities must end,” it’s said.

Pakistan armed forces also paid tribute to martyrs of Kashmir for their supreme sacrifices.

On Aug. 5, 2019, the Indian government revoked Article 370 and other related provisions from its constitution, scrapping the region’s autonomy and splitting it into two federally administered territories.
