ISLAMABAD (TAST) - Pakistan government on Monday announced that heavy security has been deployed around the former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s residence in Islamabad after Khan revealed that a  conspiracy is being hatched to kill him.

In a statement, the Interior Ministry said that the government has deployed 136 police and para-military forces personnel while 35 security personnel of private companies already working there.

The Interior Ministry will also provide foolproof security to Khan whenever he want to go outside the capital Islamabad, the ministry said.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also directed to the Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah to provide foolproof security to Khan.

Sanaullah briefed the premier Sharif on the security of the former prime minister after Sharif arrived from London.

He also ordered the deployment of a Chief Security Officer immediately along with the former prime minister, according to official statement.

The prime minister also directed all the provincial governments to provide security to the PTI Chairman during the rallies.

On Saturday, Pakistan’s former Prime Minister Imran Khan revealed that a conspiracy is being hatched abroad to kill him during his ongoing public campaign.

Addressing a massive gathering in the southeastern city of Sialkot, Khan told the participants that he learned that a conspiracy is being finalized in close door rooms abroad for his killing.

“There is a conspiracy to kill me and it was hatched both in a foreign country and in Pakistan, they wish to get rid of me,” Imran Khan said during his speech.

He added that a video statement he recorded and mentioned all names behind the conspiracy.

“I have recorded a video statement, revealing all names behind the conspiracy which i have kept at safe place and that video will be released for the nation if I was murdered during this independence movement,” Khan said.

Khan’s statement spread fear and anger among the nation as a day earlier his party’s leader Shireen Mazari said that the new government has withdrawn security from Imran Khan.
