Pakistan nation rejects alleged conspiracy to kick out former PM Imran Khan from politics

By Mashal Khan

ISLAMABAD: Millions of people gathered in over 50 cities across Pakistan on Saturday evening to show solidarity with former Prime Minister Imran Khan against the alleged conspiracy to kick him out of politics.

Khan says now conspiracy hatching to out him from politics through over dozen cases registered against him since April this year, when he was ousted from power through a no-confidence vote in the parliament.

Khan claimed that the US was hitched conspiracy to topple his government after his visit to Russia in February. Washington denied the claim.

On Saturday, Khan set another record to held massive crowds in over 50 cities and towns and they watched his address on screens from Gujranwala Jalsa.

“There is no example in history that a leader will give a speech at one place and millions of people will participate in the rally by installing screens all over the country, PTI will get a landslide victory in the elections and that is why the nation saw how these elections went. run away from,” Fawad Chaudhry, former information minister and central leader of Khan’s party tweeted.

His Gujranwala public gathering was massive as the town was once a stronghold of the ruling party, Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N).

However, PML-N now lost its popularity in Punjab province, where Khan’s party defeated them in the by-election in July this year and won 16 out of 20 seats.

Punjab is the biggest province and home to over 100 million people out of over 220 million population of the South Asian nation.

The current 13 parties’ ruling alliance has failed to control the price hike and political instability in the country and people accepted Khan’s narrative of real independence and getting a ride from the US influence.

The ruling alliance filed over dozen cases against Khan including terrorism charges apparently a move to kick him out from politics through the courts as it's difficult for them to win the next general election from Khan.

“Tomorrow our Gujranwala jalsa will be  last of our present phase of Haqiqi Azadi Movement. I will announce the next critical phase at the jalsa. Imported govt & its handlers are so petrified that nation is standing firmly behind PTI they are desperately moving on Minus 1 formula,” Khan wrote on twitter on Friday.

However, people across the country strongly reacted to an alleged conspiracy to kick him out of politics through the “ Minus 1 formula” and called Khan is “redline” for them.

“The nation has made its choice - they stand with Imran Khan. Nothing is more powerful than the power of the people. Conspirators have the courage to call elections to save Pakistan from this inept cabal of crooks. #MinusOneNaManzoor #IStandWithImranKhan," Shireen Mazari said.

The current government even banned Khan's speeches on private TV channels to stop his voice from reaching the public, but now millions of people watching his speeches on social media.

Despite the Islamabad High Court order to show Khan’s speeches on TV channels, most broadcasters didn’t cover his massive gathering in Gujranwala.

On one side are billionaire owners of mainstream media. On the other side citizens on social media, whose only weapons are the truth & a passion to see Pak improve. These citizens have broken the strangle hold on info of the rich & powerful. Mulk sab ka hai, not just the few,” Asad Umar, former Federal Minister and Secretary General of PTI said.

However, over 6.2 million people watched Khan’s address on only 23 Youtube channels last evening, according to Asher Bajwa, a researcher.

Despite all efforts to shutdown Youtube and social media during Khan’s speeches, people still watching him his uploaded videos.

“PTI Gujranwala Jalsa gets 2.1 Million more views on 23 Youtube Channels after 12 hour upload time.

> BOL News gets 1 Mill more views.

> 19 channels see improvements.

> Hundreds of thousands watched Speech on live screens in diff cities

> Millions on FB Live, Twitter, Insta,” said Bajwa.

The current trend shows that Khan's popularity is going up after every day and he could easily win the next general election with a clear majority.
