By Zahid Shah

ISLAMABAD (TSAT) - The National Assembly, the lower house of parliament of Pakistan, on Saturday resumed its session for voting against Prime Minister Imran Khan following the country’s top court Thursday verdict.

The Speaker Asad Qaiser is chairing the session which began at 10:30 am sharp, in accordance with the country’s top court directives.

However, after an hour the session was adjourned till 12:30 pm by the speaker due to opposition leaders’ disturbance during Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi's speech.

Speaking on point of order, the opposition leader Shehbaz Sharif said that he is expecting that the speaker will proceed the session as per the Supreme Court order.

The speaker also assured him that he will follow the court order in true spirits.

However, when the Foreign Minister started his speech and tried to explain the reasons behind the no-trust motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan and the ruling issued by the deputy speaker on April 3, the opposition leader Shehbaz Sharif and Bilawal Bhutto stood on seats and asked the speaker to announce voting.

However, Qureshi said that a foreign conspiracy hitched against the Khan government and he want to bring the detail on the record.

The session is expected to resume shortly
