ISLAMABAD: Pakistan's former Prime Minister Imran Khan again defeated the 13 parties ruling alliance in another by-election in the South Asian country after his ousting from power in April this year.

Khan won all three seats of the National Assembly from northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. He also clinches NA 257, PP-209 while ruling PMLN secured one provincial assembly seat. PPP also won the Multan seat.

The by-polls, held on eight National Assembly and three Punjab Assembly seats, saw a largely peaceful polling process, which was marred by reports of clashes between PTI and ANP workers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, PTI’s claims of its lawmaker being “attacked” in Karachi as well as allegation of rigging by a polling official, according to Dawn.

The results of remaining seats are awaited.

In July, Khan's party also won 15 out of 20 seats in the by-election in Punjab province.

Today results show that Khan is still the most popular leader who can easily win the upcoming genral election in the country.
