Pakistan national airline PIA to start direct flights between Islamabad to Baku from June 6

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced to start its direct flights between Islamabad and Baku on June 6.

Islamabad is the third city after Karachi and Lahore that PIA will now operate direct flights for Baku, the capital city of Azerbaijan.

This was a major demand of Pakistani people to have direct flights between Pakistan and Azerbaijan as most Pakistani want to visit Baku for holidays.

Azerbaijan ambassador Khazar Farhadov also welcomed the announcement and said they welcome Pakistani brothers and sisters in Azerbaijan.

“It’ll definitely further strengthen brotherly relations btw 2 countries. Welcome to #Azerbaijan & #Pakistan!," he tweeted.
