Pakistan, Turkiye enjoys exemplary relations, say interior minister

ISLAMABAD (TSAT) - Pakistan enjoye exemplary relations with Turkiye and Islamabad want to further cemented it, said the country Interior Minister

During his meeting with Turkish counterpart, Pakistan Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said that there is need to increased cooperation with Ankara in various fields for mutual benefits of the two brotherly countries, state-run Radio Pakistan reported on Thursday.

"Both brotherly countries are enjoying exemplary cooperation which needed to be further cemented in various areas," Sheikh Rashid told Suleyman Soylu during a video conference.

Ahmad also praised Turkiye for support Afghanistan in current difficult time and said Ankara raised voice for Afghan people on humanitarian grounds, the report said.

Pakistani Minister also assured his Turkish counterpart that he already directed the Federal Investigation Agency to take strict action against all those groups involved in the human smuggling.

Human smugglers illegally smuggling poor people via Iran to enter in Turkey with aim to reach western countries for bright future.
However, many poor people lost their lives during illegal human trafficking.

"Fencing at Afghanistan and Iran borders would be helpful in stopping illegal human smuggling and drug trafficking towards Turkey," Pakistani Minister concluded.
