According to Pakistan's military media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the visit is aimed at further enhancing the longstanding strategic and defense partnership between the two countries.

During the visit, Munir met President Erdoğan and Turkish Minister of National Defence Yaşar Güler to discuss issues of mutual interest, regional security, and the evolving geopolitical landscape.
