By The South Asia Times report

SEOUL  (TSAT) - The South Korean military on Tuesday claimed that North Korea test fired two cruise missile.

"We actually need to direct a definite investigation (on the send-offs)," Yonhap News Agency quoted the country’s military officials said.

However, the military official didn’t share more detail about the nature of test and said they detected the latest missile test.

If confirm, it will be the fifth missile test of North Korea in this month while first cruise missile test in this year as the last cruise missile tested by Pyongyang last year in September.

The latest missile test came just five days after the North Korean leader warning to restore its nuclear missile program which the country had suspended in 2017.

Earlier this month, North Korea said they successfully tested the hypersonic missile which they called a “significant weapons development.”

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un last week accused US for “hostile policy” toward his country and ordered its military to restore its suspended preparation.

Kim statement came after the US imposed new sanctions on North Korea following its latest missile tests earlier this month.

“US threats “have reached a danger line that cannot be overlooked,” Kim said and instructed his defines official to start “immediately bolstering” the country preparation to counter US “hostile moves,” according to Korean Central News Agency
