Heavy rain, flood, and lightning killed 47 people in India

NEW DELHI: At least 47 people were killed in two states of India during the ongoing heavy rain, flood, and lightning, local media said.
14 people so far have been killed in Assam due to heavy rain and flood where over 0.7 million people were also displaced by the flood in different districts of the state, according to Assam State Disaster Management
In Bihar 33 people were killed in lightning and thunderstorm, the Hindustan Times reported.
The floodwater also entered houses and shops and destroyed hundreds of properties of the locals in both states, officials said.
The state disaster management officials launched relief and rescue operations and shifted the people to safe places in affected areas.
