ISLAMABAD: Pakistan former Prime Minister Imran Khan on Sunday strongly condmned the Indian ruling party leaders derogatory remarks against Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

"Strongly condemn the hateful attack by a BJP spokesperson on our beloved Holy Prophet PBUH. Modi govt has been deliberately following a policy of provocation & hatred towards Muslims in India including inciting vigilante violence against them," Khan tweeted.

"This attack on our Holy Prophet PBUH is the most painful thing anyone can do to Muslims who feel an intense love & reverence for our Holy Prophet PBUH," Khan said.

He urged the OIC to must take strong action against Prime Minister Modi's India because sadly so far India has been allowed to get away with its Islamophobic policies.

Earlier, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also condmned the Indian government and its leaders for insulting theHoly Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

"I condemn in strongest possible words hurtful comments of India's BJP leader about our beloved Prophet (PBUH). Have said it repeatedly India under Modi is trampling religious freedoms & persecuting Muslims," Sharif tweeted.

World should take note & severely reprimand India. Our love for the Our love for the Holy Prophet (PBUH) is supreme. All Muslims can sacrifice their life for the Love & Respect of their Holy Prophet (PBUH)," Pakistani premier said.

Last month, BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma and Naveen Kumar Jindal insulted Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) during a live TV show that spread anger among Muslims worldwide.

Muslim leaders in India had filed a complaint against Sharma and Kumar with police and demanded to arrest them but Prime Minister Modi’s government protect their party leaders and police are unable to arrest them.

Since Friday, protests, and clashes have been underway in India against the BJP government and their leaders who are protecting the blasphemous persons.
