Field Marshal Asim Munir Reviews Operational Readiness During Visit to Gujranwala and Sialkot Garrisons

ISLAMABAD - Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces (COAS & CDF), visited Gujranwala and Sialkot Garrisons to review operational preparedness and training standards of the formations.

Upon arrival, the Field Marshal was briefed in detail on the formations’ operational readiness and key initiatives aimed at further strengthening combat preparedness. He later witnessed ongoing field training exercises as well as activities at an advanced simulator training facility, appreciating the troops for maintaining high professional standards and a robust state of readiness.

While addressing officers and soldiers, Field Marshal Asim Munir highlighted the evolving nature of modern warfare, emphasizing that future conflicts demand technological adaptability, agility, precision, enhanced situational awareness, and swift decision-making. He noted that continuous innovation and realistic training are essential to effectively respond to emerging and complex security challenges.

The COAS & CDF lauded the high morale, discipline, and unwavering commitment of the troops to national security. He stressed the importance of rigorous, mission-oriented training and reaffirmed that the Pakistan Army remains fully focused on countering both internal and external threats. These challenges, he said, include hostile hybrid campaigns, extremist ideologies, and divisive elements aimed at undermining national stability.

Field Marshal Asim Munir reiterated the Army’s resolve to safeguard Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, assuring the troops that their professionalism and dedication remain the cornerstone of national defence.
