Afghan Taliban warns Tajikistan, Uzbekistan to returns its aircrafts

KABUL (TSAT) – Afghanistan acting Defense Minister on Tuesday has warned its northwestern neighboring countries to return their aircrafts and don’t test their patience more.

Speaking at an event in Kabul, the Taliban government young Defense Minister Mullah Yaqoob, who is son of the late Taliban supreme leader Mullah Umar, said that they request Tajikistan and Uzbekistan to return their helicopters and aircrafts that flown by former government pilots when fled from country on August 15, last year.

“Our those helicopters and aircrafts that flown away from the country, some countries hold it, I humbly request them, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan to return it,” Yaqoob said.

He added that these aircrafts are owned by Afghanistan and its nation and our government would never allow to leave it abroad and use it someone others.

“We will get back every aircraft and again request these countries to return it and don’t test our patience,” he warned the central Asian both countries.

According to Taliban officials over 160 helicopters and aircrafts flown by former government officials and pilots and had landed it in Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

The pilots who flown these Afghan air force assets were detained in those countries who later evacuated by the United States and shifted to Washington.

“The governments of the two countries have been called upon many times to return the aircrafts to the current Afghan government, of course they made offers but so far they have not handed them over “aircrafts” “ Tolo News quoted Inayatullah Khwarazami, spokesman of the Defense Ministry as saying.
