ISLAMABAD — Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday strongly condemned the overnight attacks on Saudi Arabia, describing them as a violation of the Kingdom's sovereignty and warning that they risk further destabilizing the Middle East.

In a statement posted on X, Sharif denounced what he called the "blatant attacks" against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

"Such reprehensible actions constitute a violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and have the potential to further undermine regional peace and stability," the prime minister said.

Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan's "unwavering support" for Saudi Arabia's security and said Islamabad stands "in complete solidarity with the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at this critical time."

He also reiterated Pakistan's commitment to supporting diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing tensions across the region.

"Pakistan will continue to support all sincere efforts aimed at promoting peace, stability, security, and mutual understanding across the region," he said.

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia share one of the closest strategic relationships in the Muslim world, with decades of cooperation in defense, security, trade, and diplomacy. Saudi Arabia has been one of Pakistan's key economic partners, providing financial assistance, oil facilities, and investment support during periods of economic difficulty.

The two countries also maintain close military ties, and Pakistan has repeatedly affirmed its commitment to the security and territorial integrity of the Kingdom. Millions of Pakistanis live and work in Saudi Arabia, making it one of the largest destinations for Pakistani expatriates and a major source of remittances for Pakistan's economy.

Sharif's statement comes amid renewed military escalation in the Middle East following recent exchanges involving the United States and Iran and a series of attacks affecting regional security. The latest developments have raised fears of a broader conflict that could threaten energy supplies, maritime security, and stability across the Gulf.

Pakistan has consistently called for restraint, dialogue, and diplomacy, urging all parties to avoid further escalation and resolve disputes through peaceful negotiations. In recent weeks, Islamabad has also engaged in intensive diplomatic consultations with regional partners, including Saudi Arabia, emphasizing the need to preserve peace and prevent the conflict from widening.
