RIYADH - The Pakistan Air Force has joined defence forces and manufacturers from around the world at the World Defence Show 2026 in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, a premier international exhibition focused on security and military innovation.

At the event, the PAF is displaying the JF-17 Thunder Block-III, regarded as the most advanced variant of Pakistan’s domestically developed multi-role combat aircraft, according to ISPR.

Equipped with modern avionics, an Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar, an upgraded electronic warfare suite, and beyond-visual-range combat capabilities, the aircraft is designed to meet the operational requirements of contemporary air forces and is often described as a 4.5-generation fighter.

Alongside the fighter jet, Pakistan is presenting the Super Mushshak, a basic trainer aircraft recognized for its reliability, cost-efficiency, and ease of maintenance. The platform has been adopted by several partner nations and is considered a dependable solution for pilot training programs.

Officials say the PAF’s participation reflects Pakistan’s ambition to position itself as an emerging hub for aerospace innovation and dependable defence solutions. The exhibition also provides an opportunity for Pakistan to promote defence exports, deepen strategic partnerships, and explore collaboration in training and technology transfer with friendly countries.

The World Defence Show brings together military delegations, government representatives, and defence industry leaders, offering a global platform for countries to demonstrate technological advancements and strengthen defence cooperation. Pakistan’s presence at the event underscores its commitment to advancing indigenous capabilities while expanding its footprint in the international defence market.
