Russia, Ukraine peace talks likely begins on Monday in Belarus

 

MOSCOW (TSAT) - The Russian and Ukraine peace talks will held at Belarus border on Monday as Moscow officials already arrived in country.

On Sunday, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Ukraine suggested to hold talks at Gomel city in Belarus and Russian respresentatives already arrived there, TASS News Agency reported. 

 

The Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskiy on Sunday morning refused to meet with Russian officials, however later he announced that his official will meet their Russian counterpart in Pripyat river area in Belarus near Ukraine border. 

 

Belarus President while speaking with Zelenskiy  assured him that during his official arrival and negotiation all planes and missiles placed on Belarus will remain on ground. 

 

 
However, the Kremlin spokesman said during negotiation, the military operation in Ukraine will continue and Moscow has no plan to suspend it. 
 
 

"For our part we have warned the Ukrainian side that this time the actions suggested by the military operation will not be suspended - as was done yesterday," the agency quoted Dmitry Peskov as saying. 

 

He added that President on Saturday ordered to stop movement of troops because of expected talks with Kyiv, however later Ukrainian President refusal from talks, he again ordered to resume operation. 

The Russian delegation will lead by the Presidential Aide Vladimir Medinsky, consisiting on Foreign Ministry, Defense Ministry and other department officials.
