Turkiye, Egypt, Tunisia will welcome Russia tourists, no plan to impose restrictions on Moscow, official says

MOSCOW (TSAT) - Russia on Wednesday said Turkiye, Egypt and Tunisia have assured Moscow that they will not impose any restrictions on Russia tourists.

 

The press service of Rostourism (the Federal tourism agency) told reporters that officials from Turkey, Egypt, and Tunisia confirmed that the countries are waiting for Russian tourists, TASS news agency reported. 

 

"Turkey, Egypt, and Tunisia confirmed that they are waiting for Russian tourists," the press service said.

Yesterday, Zarina Doguzova, who heads Rostourism, talked to Tunisian Tourism Minister Mohamed Moez Belhassen and told that Tunisian authorities had never planned to introduce any restrictions against Russia and expressed his interest in boosting the flow of Russian tourists.

Russia official also spoke with Egyptian Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Khaled Elenani and his Turkish counterpart Mehmet Ersoy and both of them assured that they are interested in cooperation with the Russian and they have no restrictions for Russian tourists in these countries will be introduced.

 

"It is very important that our colleagues expressed their support and are open to cooperation. It is also important that the three most popular mass destinations remain available vacation destinations for our citizens, and our partners will continue to provide safe and comfortable conditions for the stay of Russian tourists", Doguzova said.
