4 Pakistani solders martyrs, 3 terrorists killed in cross border attack from Afghanistan

ISLAMABAD - At least four Pakistani soldiers have been martyred while three terrorists killed in a clash near the Afghan border in the Zhob area of Balochistan.

“On 28 September 2023, at 1745 hours, own security forces thwarted an attempt of TTP terrorists to infiltrate from Afghanistan into Pakistan near Sambaza in Dist Zhob close to Pak-Afghan border,” said ISPR in a statement.

 

In the ensuing operation, Havildar Sattar, Lance Naik Sher Azam, Lance Naik Adnan and Sepoy Nadeem fought valiantly and embraced shahadat while during fire exchange, three terrorists were also killed and several others wounded.

“Security Forces of Pakistan will continue to thwart efforts of the enemies of peace and prosperity in the country,” said the military.

On Thursday, Pakistan foreign minister Jalil Abbas Jilani confirmed that Afghan Taliban government carried out an action against TTP militants based in Afghanistan and he hoped that Taliban would deal those terrorists according to their local law who have been arrested by Taliban forces from the eastern provinces.

Earlier media reports said that Afghan Taliban arrested over 200 TTP terrorists from Nuristan and Lunar provinces after their attack on a Pakistani village in the Chitral district.

On September 6, Taliban militant carried out cross border attack in Chitral and targeted four security personnel while over 12 militants also got killed in the clash.
