Pakistan Reiterates Support for Peaceful Resolution of Yemen Crisis

Islamabad— Pakistan on Friday reaffirmed its support for a peaceful resolution of the situation in Yemen through dialogue and diplomacy, underscoring its commitment to the country’s unity and territorial integrity.

Responding to a media query, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Tahir Andrabi, said Pakistan hoped that the positive steps undertaken by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates would contribute to a lasting and peaceful settlement of the Yemen crisis.

The spokesperson highly appreciated the wisdom and far-sightedness demonstrated by the leadership of Saudi Arabia and the UAE in addressing the situation, noting that their efforts reflected a shared desire for regional peace and stability.

He described the initiatives by the two brotherly countries as constructive steps aimed at reducing tensions and promoting dialogue in the region.

Mr. Andrabi emphasized that Pakistan remains committed to playing a positive and constructive role in strengthening the values of partnership, brotherhood, and unity, with a view to achieving enduring peace and stability across the region.

Pakistan, he added, continues to support all efforts that advance reconciliation and diplomacy, reaffirming its belief that sustainable peace in Yemen can only be achieved through inclusive dialogue and mutual understanding.
