Fire in Pakistan Army ammunition shed, no damage to property or loss of life, says military

ISLAMABAD (TSAT) - Fire suddenly broke out on Sunday morning in Pakistan Army ammunition shed in its garrison in southeastern Punjab province near the Indian border, the official said.

 

The fire was caused due to a short circuit and an accidental fire broke out in an ammunition shed near Sialkot Garrison, said the Pakistan Army in a statement.

 

 “Due to effective and timely response, the damages were immediately contained and fire has been extinguished. No damage to property or loss of life,” ISPR, the military media wing said. 

 

Some Indian channels earlier created hype and ran breaking news on its screen that massive explosions were carried out in the Pakistan military garrison. 

 

“Some Indian handles are spreading disinformation regarding the incident. Please disregard their lies and propaganda,” said a senior military official to the TSAT.

 

He added that It is not an incident of sabotage or terrorist activity but only fire broke out due to a short circuit.
