Pakistan army prepared to defend its country, hostile forces will face tough response, army commanders

ISLAMABAD (TSAT) - Pakistan army top commanders on Wednesday warned the hostile forces that they would face tough response and will not allow terrorists attempts for revival.

 

The conference of the corps commanders of Pakistan army held at the GHQ, chaired by General Qamar Javed Bajwa, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), where the commanders were briefed on security situation in the country particularly recent terrorists attacks in Balochistan. 

 

“The participants were apprised on the measures being undertaken to counter hostile efforts to destabilise Pakistan,” said in a statement issued by the ISPR.

 

The top army commanders appreciated its soldiers who repulsed the two coordinated attacks on security forces camps in Balochistan and paid tribute to the martyrs who gave ultimate sacrifice for the defence of the country while valiantly repulsing recent terrorist attacks in Balochistan and Inflicting heavy losses on them.

 

 Army chief expressed satisfaction over operational preparedness of the formations and safeguards in place to thwart designs of inimical forces. 

 

“We have come a long way in our fight against terrorism. Armed Forces, with the support of the nation, have conducted successful operations against terrorists of all hue and colour,” said Gen. Bajwa.

 

 “Their desperate attempts for revival won’t be allowed to succeed,” he reiterated and adding that they will eliminate all remnants of terrorists, their abettors and accomplices whatever is the cost.

 

Last week, Baloch terrorist group BLA, carried out attacks on security forces camps in Panjgur and Naushki area of Balochistan in which 20 terrorists were killed while nine soldiers also lost their lives.

 

Outlawed Baloch terrorists group BLA claimed responsibilty for the attacks.

 

Earlier, Pakistani security official said, that the country's intelligence agencies intercepted the communication of the terrorists, who carried out attacks on two security forces camps in Panjgur and Naushki, with its handlers in India and Afghanistan.

 

Pakistan always accused New Delhi for sponsoring Baloch and TTP terrorists in the country to destablize Pakistan and targeting Chinese and Pakistani nationals who are working in the multi-billions China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects.
