Pakistan Expresses Deep Condolences Over Martyrdom of Turkish Soldiers

ISLAMABAD — Pakistan on Tuesday expressed deep sorrow over the tragic loss of 12 Turkish soldiers who were martyred after being exposed to methane gas during a search operation in the Claw-Lock Operation zone.

In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Pakistan conveyed its heartfelt condolences to the government and people of Turkiye, stating: “We are deeply saddened to learn that 12 Turkish soldiers were martyred, after being exposed to methane gas during a search mission in the Claw-Lock Operation zone.”

The statement added, “We wish Allah’s mercy upon the martyrs and express our deepest condolences to the bereaved families.”

Reaffirming its close brotherly ties with Turkiye, Pakistan said it stands in "firm solidarity with brotherly Turkiye in this moment of grief.”

The Claw-Lock Operation is part of Turkiye’s ongoing military efforts in the region against terrorist elements. The latest incident highlights the risks Turkish troops face in challenging terrain and volatile environments.
