4 Pakistani soldiers lost lives in terrorist attack from Iran

ISLAMABAD: At least four Pakistani soldiers have lost their lives in cross border terrorist attack from Iran, the military said on Wednesday. 

In a statement, ISPR said, in a terrorist activity from across Pakistan Iran border in Chukab Sector, District Panjgur, Balochistan, 4 security forces personnel have embraced martyrdom.

“Terrorists used Iranian soil to target a convoy of security forces patrolling along the border,” said the military. 

“Iranian side has been asked to hunt down the terrorists on their side,” its added.

Among those who lost their lives are,

1.  Sepoy Asad Ali age 25 years,  Resident of Village Hamrota Tehsil Baloch District Sudhnoti

 

2.  Lance Naik Fareed Ullah Khan Age 29 yrs, Resident of Village Pahar Khel Pakka Tehsil & District Lakki Marwat

 

3.  Lance Naik Abdul Razzaq, age 31 years, Resident of Village Khawha Khel Lakki Marwat 

 

4. Lance Naik Muhammad Younas Khan , age 24 yrs, Resident of Bachakhan Ahmed Zai Tehsil & District Lakki Marwat

 

The attack came just a day after Pakistan army chief General Syed Asim Munir, visited Khuzdar and Basima areas of Balochistan.

During his interaction with troops, the army chief emphasized on maintaining optimum operational readiness to thwart the attempts by foreign sponsored and supported hostile elements to destabilize Balochistan.

 

"We are aware of the nefarious designs of external enemies of Pakistan to disturb the hard earned peaceful environment in Balochistan," COAS remarked.
