Pakistan Condemns Israeli Strikes on Iran, Declares Solidarity with Tehran

By The South Asia Times

Islamabad  — In the wake of Israel’s massive aerial assault on Iran that killed several senior military commanders and nuclear scientists, Pakistan has issued a strong condemnation of what it termed a “brazen violation” of Iranian sovereignty. The government expressed unwavering solidarity with Iran and warned of dangerous consequences for regional peace and global stability.

Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Calls Attack 'Abhorrent'

In a statement posted on X (formerly Twitter), Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar denounced the Israeli strikes, calling them a “shocking affront to international law and human decency.”

“Strongly condemn unjustified Israeli attacks on Islamic Republic of Iran which is a brazen violation of Iran’s sovereignty.
This abhorrent action has shaken foundations of international law as well as conscience of humanity; and gravely undermines regional stability & int’l security.
Pakistan stands in solidarity with the Government & the people of Iran.”

Dar’s statement echoes Pakistan’s long-standing stance on non-recognition of Israel and support for sovereign nations in the region, particularly fellow Muslim-majority states.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also took to X, delivering one of the government’s strongest public condemnations of Israel to date:

“I condemn, in the strongest possible terms, today's unprovoked attack on Iran by Israel.
I convey my deepest sympathies to the Iranian people on the loss of lives in this attack.
This grave and highly irresponsible act is deeply alarming and risks further de-stabilising an already volatile region.
We urge the international community and the United Nations to take urgent steps to prevent any further escalation that could imperil regional and global peace.”

The Prime Minister’s remarks call on the international community to act swiftly, highlighting fears that the strike could trigger a broader regional war.
