72 hours long military operation ends, 20 BLA terrorists killed while 9 soldiers lost lives in SW Pakistan, says military

ISLAMABAD (TSAT) - Pakistan army on Saturday said that 72 hours-long clearance operation against the Baloch terrorists has been completed and at least 20 terrorists were killed in two separate coordinated attacks in southwestern Balochistan province.

In a statement, the military media-wing, ISPR, said that total 20 terrorists were killed during Panjgur and Naushki operations while Security forces have completed the clearance operation today.


 "Terrorists attacked security forces’ camps at Naushki and Panjgur late evening on 2nd Feb. Both attacks were repulsed successfully by prompt response from troops at both locations," said the military.


In Naushki, Nine terrorists were killed while four security forces personnel including an officer also embraced shahadat during the shoot out with terrorists while repulsing terrorist attack at Naushki, said the military. 


In Panjgur, security forces repulsed the terrorist attack after intense exchange of fire and Terrorists fled from area, however Security Forces carried out clearance operation to hunt down hiding terrorists in the vicinity, its added. 


"4 fleeing Terrorists were killed at Panjgur while 4 terrorists were encircled the next day by security forces. All encircled terrorists were killed in today’s operation as they failed to surrender . 5 soldiers, including a JCO embraced shahadat and 6 soldiers have been injured during follow up operations at Panjgur lasting 72 hours," its said.

Three terrorists linked to these attacks were also killed on Friday including two high value targets at Balgatar , Kech in a follow up clearance operation conducted on a makeshift Terrorist hideout.

"Our security forces stand firm and resolutely committed to eliminating the menace of terrorism from our soil no matter what the cost," said ISPR.

Outlawed Baloch terrorists group BLA claimed responsibilty for the attacks.

Earlier, Pakistani security official said, that the country's intelligence agencies intercepted the communication of the terrorists, who carried out attacks on two security forces camps in Panjgur and Naushki, with its handlers in India and Afghanistan.

Pakistan always accused New Delhi for sponsoring Baloch and TTP terrorists in the country to destablize Pakistan and targeting Chinese and Pakistani nationals who are working in the multi-billions China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects.
