Pakistan Says Evidence Shows India Behind Balochistan Attacks, Nearly 110 Militants Neutralized

Quetta, Pakistan - Pakistani officials said on Saturday that evidence indicates India was behind coordinated terrorist attacks that targeted multiple locations across southwestern Balochistan, including Quetta, Noshki, Dalbandin, Pasni, and Gwadar on Saturday.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, who arrived in Quetta and chaired a high-level security meeting, said the militants were part of a planned operation backed by India.

Speaking in a video statement alongside Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti, aired on state-run Pakistan Television, Naqvi said all attackers had been neutralized by Pakistan’s security forces, Frontier Corps, and police.

“India is behind these attacks. I can tell you for sure that India planned these attacks along with these terrorists. We have all the proof and will expose them to the world,” Naqvi said.

“The world should know that the main country behind terrorism in our region is India, which not only provides financial support but also helps with planning and strategy. We will defeat them as we did in May last year.”

Bugti added that women and children were among the victims in some targeted areas, including labor colonies, and praised security personnel for their bravery in foiling the militants’ plans.

He also met with injured civilians and families of martyred officers, emphasizing that such attacks would not weaken Pakistan’s resolve.

Officials said the coordinated assaults were carried out with sophisticated planning, and all attackers involved were eliminated during the operations. They warned that Pakistan would pursue and expose those responsible, holding India accountable for supporting militant activities in the region.

Earlier, Pakistani security officials said that Pakistani security forces on Saturday foiled a wave of coordinated terrorist attacks across Balochistan, killing dozens of militants after assaults were launched at more than 12 locations, including Quetta, Noshki, Dalbandin, Pasni, and Gwadar, security sources said.

According to the officials, 108 militants were killed in past 48 hours including 67 on Saturday. At least 15 security personnel and 11 civilians were also lost lives in the attacks and clashes.

The latest statement of Pakistan Interior Minister come amid long-standing tensions between Islamabad and New Delhi over security and insurgency issues in Balochistan and Pakistan’s border regions, where Islamabad has repeatedly accused India of supporting proxy militant groups based in Afghanistan.
