North Korea confirms test fires long-range cruise, surface to surface missiles

SEOUL (TSAT) - North Korea on Friday confirmed that the country successfully test fired two long-range cruise and surface-to-surface guided missiles this week.

 

This was sixth missile test confirmed by the country to carried out this month calling to strengthening its defence system against the “US hostile” policy.

 

“The Academy of Defence Science of the DPRK made a test fire for updating the long-distance cruise missile system and a test fire for confirming the might of conventional warhead of the ground-to-ground tactical guided missile respectively on January 25 and 27,” said in a statement published by state-run Korean Central News Agency.

 

According to the official statement, the two long-range cruise missile flight for 9,137 second and successfully hit its target in island 1,800 km away east sea.

 

While the two tactical guided surface to surface missile also precisely hit it target successfully, its said.

 

North Korean warned it would continue to strengthen its missile weapons system against the threat posing by the country from the US.

 

The latest missiles test carried out after US imposed more sanctions against the country after its first missile test earlier this month.

 

North Korean leader Kim already announced to end its self-imposed suspension of nuclear program and start its nuclear weapons which they suspended in 2017.
