Following his victory, Hamdani told supporters, “This city belongs to everyone — no matter your faith, race, or where you come from. Together, we’ll make New York fairer, safer, and more hopeful for all.”

Hamdani will assume office in January, pledging to focus on community safety, climate resilience, and strengthening New York’s standing as a global city of inclusion.
