Iran’s Top Security Advisor Warns Trump Against Interference in Domestic Protests

TEHRAN - Iranian top security adviser Ali Larijani issued a sharp warning to US President Donald Trump on Friday, cautioning that any American intervention in Iran’s internal affairs could destabilize the region and harm the US interests.

“With the statements by Israeli officials and @realDonaldTrump, what has been going on behind the scenes is now clear,” Larijani wrote on X.

He distinguished between peaceful protesting shopkeepers and “disruptive actors,” stressing that US interference “would mean destabilizing the entire region and destroying America’s interests.” Larijani also warned that American citizens and soldiers should be mindful of the risks, stating: “Trump started this adventurism.”

The warning comes after Trump posted on social media via Truth, asserting that if Iran “shoots and violently kills peaceful protesters… the United States of America will come to their rescue. We are locked and loaded and ready to go. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP.”

The exchange highlights escalating tensions between Washington and Tehran amid ongoing protests in Iran, with Larijani framing U.S. threats as a dangerous escalation that could backfire on American interests in the region.
