Lakki admin shatters bureaucratic interia-students of GHS Nar Muzaffar finally step into new building

By The South Asia Times

LAKKI MARWAT-  Breaking years of inertia and bureaucratic delay, the district administration of Lakki Marwat has finally shifted Government High School Nar Muzaffar, Nawab Kila, from its crumbling old structure to a newly constructed building that had remained unutilized for nearly a decade — a move widely hailed by citizens as a landmark step for public welfare.

The decision, swift and decisive, won heartfelt applause from parents, teachers, and local citizens who had waited years to see this day.

The newly constructed building of Government High School Nar Muzaffar, Nawab Kila, stood desolate since 2015 — a silent monument to official neglect. While its sturdy walls gathered dust, students continued to study in a dilapidated, unsafe structure, where cracked ceilings and broken furniture turned learning into daily risk.

That painful wait finally ended when the district administration of Lakki Marwat, under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Hamidullah Khan, decided to break the cycle of bureaucratic delay and move the school to its long-neglected new home.

“Enough is enough — we cannot let children sit under collapsing roofs while a brand-new building gathers dust. Get the squad ready; we’re moving the school today,” the Deputy Commissioner was quoted as saying, moments before leading his team to the site, personally supervising the shifting process.

Citizens of Lakki Marwat hailed the move as a defining moment of governance with heart-an act that replaced the red tape with resolve and despair with hope.

“Our children can finally study without fear. We had lost faith that this would ever happen, but today, we feel heard,” a local parent poured out his heart with gratitude.

According to district administration, the DC, during his visit, ordered the education department to instantly finalize pending approvals and ensure proper maintenance.

He has also directed a comprehensive audit and monitoring evaluation report of the new facility, warning that any negligence or irregularities would be dealt with strictly.

The opening of the new school building stands as yet another testament to the district administration's commitment to peoples’ welfare, ensuring that no child’s education is jeopardized by neglect or delay.

Unprecedentedly, the district administration is also pressing ahead with its ambitious plan to shift Lakki Marwat University into the newly constructed campus — a project that had long been progressing at a snail’s pace.

The Deputy Commissioner has injected fresh momentum into the work by promptly mobilizing his team and assistant commissioners to ensure its regular inspections.

He personally visited the site and directed the concerned authorities to ensure its completion at the earliest.

His dedication and proactive approach have paid off — the university is now set to be relocated to the new, state-of-the-art building next month.

The district is steadily emerging as a true model for neighbouring administrations to emulate in their pursuit of improving the quality of life for their citizens.
